^ You HAVE to take John Wall with the number one pick. They would either have to trade down or trade Devin. He's just too damn good to pass on.

I wonder if the Nets would take John Wall with the #1 pick... (assuming the lottery ball bounces their way)

Good read. It can't help the Nets that there are a half a dozen teams looking to spend major money on big free agents next season. How do you compete with 1 or 2 cities, let alone 5 or 6?

The Nets are disintegrating and it sounds like there is absolutely no team chemistry.

"It's mind-boggling sometimes when you don't see the guys behind you doing that," he [Rafer Alston] said, after the Nets fell to 2-20. "That's more hurtful than anything, is to not cheer your teammates on who are out there trying to get the job done. That's the way I was taught to do it: Play together and root for your teammate, whether you're in the game or not. The good teams do that. They stay together, no matter how the game is going."

Very interesting assessment, Red. It reminded me of a blurb I read about Nets rookie Terrence Williams. There HAS to be some serious consequences to this kind of long-term losing.

“He’s not seeking advice from veterans,” point guard Rafer Alston said. “He’s getting advice from guys in their first and second year, who don’t know.

“Every day he comes in, he just looks like he’s in a funk and he looks like he’s just not there. I asked him yesterday on the bus how he’s doing, and he just had nothing to say. He had this blank look on his face, like he’s just confused.”
